Lassen Land and Trails Trust operates a visitor center and museum at the Historic Susanville Railroad Depot
Hours of Operation
Memorial Day to October 31st – Tuesday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
November to May – Wednesday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Depot Museum and Visitor Center staff can provide you with helpful information on biking, hiking, camping, fishing and sight seeing in the local area. You can also find advice on a wide variety of other recreation opportunities and travel planning.
The museum offers historic photographs of the railroad and logging trains which rolled through Susanville. Learn about the exciting history of the Red River Lumber Company and the Fruit Growers Association (which today bears the name, Sunkist).
Gift Shop
There are many items available in the gift shop to take home as souvenirs such as postcards, train whistles, t-shirts, water bottles, cloth bags, and much more.
